    Poultry wastes fed to lambs

Poultry manure could
provide an excellent source
of protein in the diets of
growing lambs, says Ivan L.
Lindahl, a nutritionist with
the U.S. Department of
Agriculture (USDA).

cost of feeding lambs,
making lambs more
economical to raise.
Dried poultry manure has
not been approved for
commercial use by the Food
Lancaster Farming, Saturday, August 2,1975—9
and Drug Administration.
Approval will be needed
before these wastes may be
used as a feed supplement.
