Hectic is the only word I
can think of to describe the
last few weeks around here.
Each day brings twice as
many duties as we can ac
complish.
life on the farm seems to
have everything happening
at once and everything
relating to everything else.
Judy finally has a day off
from her job and decides to
paint the trim on our new
building instead of sewing a
new dress for herself. Cindy
is trying to put a zipper in a
dress after repeatedly
ripping it but and wants
Judy’s advice. Then Cindy
stops her project to write up
a 4-H meeting as one of the
officers was absent from last

night’s meeting.
Allen wants to spray some
corn and the engine won’t
start on the sprayer. Philip is
mowing the meadow and
hopefully he is. pondering
what his handyman project
will be this year. Many
things he would like to make
need shop tools which we
don’t have.
I’d like to give you one
example of how hectic things
get when the unexpected
happens. Our daughter was
married last week on a nice
sunny day and we held the
reception at our home.
Just as we were about to
leave for the church one of
the pet rabbits got out of his
pen. So the picture taking
was interrupted with rabbit
wearingiheir ~
best clothes. Finally Philip
thefurry orange
creature and we stuffed it
into a big bo* that minutes
before held the wedding
cake.
