Although the "Queen and
Her Court” has compiled a
phenomenal winning
precentage of 1,140 victories
against 45 defeats, the
essence of the 90 minute
legitimate exhibition is
entertainment coupled with
showmanship.
“The Queen and Her
Maids” includes essentially
a four member family team.
In addition to the Queen -
Rosie Black, is Eileen
Beaird, a 20 year old catcher
with a trigger like arm who
has handled the catching
chores for the last 10 years.
Debby Bevers, a 23 year old,
serves in the first base
position and impresses
people all over the world
with her incredible, ex
plosive running speed and
base stealing ability. This is
coupled with her over
powering batting ability
resulting in a team leading
34 home runs in one season.
Lotta Chatter, the comic
highlight of the troupe,
covers the shortstop position
while keeping the audience
laughing, and at the same
time astounds them with
unusual ball handling feats.
The squad has traveled all
over the world, displaying
the fantastic ability which
led to an appearance in the
syndicated “Believe It or
Not” column. Their im
pressive stats have been
compiled against the best
teams both in softball and
baseball stars like Jimmy
Wynn, Los Angeles home run
hitter, and Willie Mays
everyones perennial all-star.
Weaver’s who will be
dueling against “the Queen
and Her Court”, is a well
known local softball power.
Through the past years,
Weaver’s has been known as
