SALE Bth July 2 Weekly 11 CATTLE: Compand with the previous week's close: slaughter (teen and heifen .50-1.00 lower, many 950-1060 lb. shortfed (teen and 750- 875 lb. heifen at full decline. Cows .50-1.00 higher. Bulls steady. Three day receipts 13,300 as compared 16,800 previous week and 13,800 a year ago. The fed cattle trade declined for second successive week with trading again following a rather cautious and selective pattern. Buyers were quite number conscious on late rounds as demand geared to accomodate the approaching long non slaugbter weekend and hours in some plants were reduced additionally in view of limited available supplies and poor slaughter results. There was a slight increase in the volume of choice steen early with several loads high-choice and prime included but the bulk of the steer and heifer run again fell in the good to average choice category.
