—Lancaster Farming, Saturday, July 5.1975 18 Festival Cultural Series In an effort to acquaint local audiences with creative Mennonitcs, the Dutch Family Festival, Rt. 30 east of Lancaster announces its 1975 Festival Cultural Series. Six different artists will be featured throughout the summer, representing a variety of fields. The Cultural Scries are planned for four Monday nights at 8.00 p.m. July 7. July 21, August 11 and August 25. Opening the Senes on July York 4-Hers To Compete at Regionals Sixteen 4-H members, who were judged winners of the 4- H Demonstration and Public Speaking Contest, will move on to higher levels of com petition on July 11 when they present their topics at the regional contest at Northern High School in Dillsburg. Public Speaking - Lois Lehman, Dillsburg The regional contest brings together all top winners in each of the counties in the Capital area. The high individual and team members will then have the opportunity to compete with winners from four other regions at State 4- H Days August 6-8 at The Pennsylvania State University. According to Home Economist Marcy Seckman, the educational contest are designed to imrpve skills in 4-H project work, develop individual standards, and increase the member’s self’confidence in competing against others. All members prepared their own demonstrations and speeches under the supervision of local leaders, Extension personnel, and other interested persons. Lawrence Hart, a Men nonite pastor and Cheyenne Indian chief from Clinton, Oklahoma, will describe on August 11, his experience of being a minority within the church and nation.
