time since the first of March
the weekly trend on
slaughter steers and heifers
was definitely lower but over
this period, prices have
advanced some 18.00-20.00
per cwt. Live trading was
generally deliberate affair
as buyers were cautious and
selective of reduced demand
for carcass beef at the
wholesale level. Closing
trade was quite dull under a
narrow demand.
