Take Your Pick
But Be Careful!
Because there’s a lot of money involved. In 1975
you have two choices.
Layer A or Layer B.
Layer A will lay eggs with nice shells for 12 to 14
months. You can buy this bird today. Not from
Babcock. But from several of our competitors. In
14 months she'll lay about 230 to 240 eggs. With
pretty good shells. But there’s a catch. She’ll
only peak at 80 to 85 percent. And chances are it
will take an 18 percent protein laying mash to
get an 85 percent peak. Then she’ll drop off to
50 to 60 percent the rest of the year. At Bab
cock's we were breeding layers better than this
30 years ago.
Layer B will lay eggs with good shells for 10 or
11 months. Then she’ll slip some on shells. But
in 10 months she'll lay about 230 to 240 eggs
with good shells.- You can buy this layer from
Babcock. The Babcock B-300. So think about it.
Why buy a bird that takes 14 months to lay 230
to 240 nice eggs when you can buy a B-300 that
will lay around 230 to 240 nice eggs in 10
months? Right now our goal per bird housed is
280 eggs in 52 weeks with good egg size along
with good shells for the whole 52 weeks. We are
making excellent progress. Switch to Babcock
for 1975 and the years ahead. You’ll be happy
with your Babcock B-300’s
