In a saucepan over boiling water, mix together choc, pieces, sweetened condensed milk, butter and salt. Stir until mixture is smooth. Stir in nuts and vanilla. Spread about 2-3 of oatmeal mixture in bottom of greased 15Me x 10M: x 1” jelly roll pan. Cover with Choc, mixture. Dot with remainder of oatmeal mixture and swirl it over choc, filling. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes 60 (2 x 1”) bars. Orange Dream Dessert Vh. cups crushed rice cereal squares 1 cup light brown sugar Vi pound butter 1 cup angle flake coconut Melt butter and mix well with other ingredients. Line bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan with half of crumb mixture. Soften one-half gallon of vanilla ice cream and layer overtop. Freeze. Remove. When cooled, add topping. Holds shape better if left m muffin tins to store. Add 1 teaspoon lemon juice to 1 can cherry pie filling and blend. Place on top of 24 tarts when cool. XXX Sour Cream Sugar Cookies 1 cup butter 2 cups white sugar 3 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 4Vz cups flour 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons baking soda 1 cup cour cream Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Add flour, salt and soda alternately with sour cream. Drop by spoonsful, top with cinnamon sugar. Bake 400 degrees 6-8 munites. XXX Deluxe Cheesecake 1 cup zwieback crumbs Vi cup melted butter 5 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese softened Vi. cup milk 6 eggs 10 Miles South of txniraster on Rt. 272 IMi cupa sugar m taaspoon vanilla V 4 teaspoon salt IV4 cupa dairy sour cresm v 4 cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla Combine zwieback crumbs and butter; mix well. Press mixture in 9" spring form pan. Beat together cream cheese and milk. Beat in eggs, one at a time, besting well after each addition. Gradually beat in IMi cups sugar. Add IMi teaspoon vanilla and salt; best well. Pour mixture on crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour 10 minutes or until set. Remove from oven. Cool 10 minutes. Combine sour cream, l < cup sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
