Pioneer Grange 1777 -
Topton held their regular
meeting on May 15 at the
Grange Hall. Ruth Delong of
the Ladies Activity Com
mittee gave a report on the
sewing contest. It was
reported that a Relief Sale
would be held at Kutztown.
Jean Hertzog presented a
program that included
musical numbers and a skit
entitled “Three Ninty
eight”.
Mother’s day presents
were awarded to the
youngest mother - Barbara
Richard; oldest mother -
Erma Trexler; most
children at Grange - Anna
Angstat and the mother with
the most children - Erma
Trexler.

The Pioneer Grange met
with the Virglnsville Grange
on May 21. The Fleetwood
grange will visit the Pioneer
Grange on June S.
Fulton Grange
Meets
Fulton Grange 66 met
April 28, 1975 with the youth
filling the chairs. They voted
to send a resolution opposing
taking authority to hire and
fire teachers away from the
local school boards. The
charter was draped in
memory of William Ambler.
The program began with a
reading “April Wisdom’’ by
Peggy Galbreath. Mr. and
Mrs. Glenn Sterner, State
Grange Young Marrieds
Couple of the Year,
presented slides and spoke
on Pennsylvania Youth and
Young Marrieds in action.
The entries for the State
Grange sewing contest were
judged and modeled with the
following results: first, Mrs.
Donna Ellenberg; second,
Mrs. Joyce Holloway; and
third, Mrs. Elaine Knight.
Judges were Mrs. Ruth
Akers, Miss Donna Shenk,
and Mrs. Hazel Aument. A
cake walk was held to raise
money for State Grange
Youth program “Grange
Youth Care.” Two cakes
were given - one to Mrs.

The May 12 meeting of
Fulton Grange was held
under Master Donald
Trimble. A committee was
appointed to choose a
Granger of the Year for
Fulton Grange. The com
mittee is Mrs. Hazel
Aument, Clifford Holloway,
Jr., and Thomas Galbreath.
The program consisted of
a surprise “This Is Your
Life” program for Mrs.
Laura McSparran, who
served as Secretary of
Fulton Grange for 23 years.
Friends and family were
guests to help celebrate the
occasion.
The next meeting, May 26,
will be the annual memorial
service.
