Soda Cracker Delight 6 eggs - white only • beat until stiff 2 cups white sugar Fold in IM* cups soda crackers. 1 cup nuts and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Fold in one cup drained diced sweetened peaches and Vi cup each chopped nuts meats and diced celery. Turn into one quart mild or individual molds. Chill until firm. Unmold on crisp lettuce. Kenneth E. Grant, Administrator of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Soil Con servation Service, an nounced today. One of the Nation’s first ten RC&D projects, the Penn Soil RC&D Project was authorized to receive assistance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture in 1964. Prior to the present expansion, the project in cluded Crawford, Erie, Mercer and Venango counties. Clarion, Forest, Lawrence and Warren counties have now been added to make a total project area of 3,536,640 acres in northwestern Pennsylvania. It is coterminous with Pennsylvania’s Planning and Development District No. 9. Project headquarters are at Mercer. Sponsors of the Penn Soil RC&D Project include the county governments and conservation districts in the project area. They provide leadership and coordinate local action with the assistance of local, state, and federal agencies, and other organizations. Their objectives include: - Planning and application of conservation land use measures. - Reduced soil erosion, sedimentation, flooding, and pollution. - Improved housing and health services. - Expanded industrial development and job op portunities, and: - Development of recreation areas and fish and wildlife habitat.
