Decorating
You can add refreshing
decorator touches to your
kitchen or bath with
scrubbable wallpaper. It’s
possible to make wall
matched window shades by
using heavy-duty wall
covering, point our Ex
tension specialists at The
Pennsylvania State
University.
The vinyl wallpaper is
heavy and flexible enough to
use by itself for a shade. Or
you can attach it to an
exisiting shade or cloth with
special adhesive. You can
also decorate straight-line
valances with bright pat
terns. Keep the vinyl dean
by going over it with a well
lathered sponge and wipe it
dry.
The Extension specialists
suggest some additional
decorating touches. You
could wrap a large metal
potato chip can for a
wastepaper basket. Or use a
large coffee can for a
countertop mini-garbage
container. Just line it with a
plastic bag or bread
wrapper.

If your cabinets are “tired

Apply the panels to the

margin all the way around.
Finish with painted wood
strip frames. To make the
frames, cut mitered corners
of the wood strips by using a
miter box and saw. This is a
good project to have your
home handyman help with.
Moths Attack Cotton
Moths are still around with
