Trees can be a wonderful remembrance of someone who has gone. At different times, both my children’s grandfathers brought trees for us to plant. Where to put them was a big decision, as we already had quite a few. But now with the apricots in full bloom and the pawpaws sprouting green leaves, we are glad we found a spot for them The roses are pruned and the two kinds of grapes and the 18 blueberry bushes. However, the most un pleasant job is trimming the raspberry patches as everywhere a branch touches the ground it grows Kennedy, vice president, on the By-Laws. Prizes were given to those with the highest scores. The next meeting of the Farm Women Society 1 of Dauphin County will be held on May 13’ 1975 at 6:45 p.m. at the Conewago School where our Society will en tertain Society 10. As long as I remember the delicious raspberry jam they make I’m all right. Talking about food - last week I made a yummy fresh rhubarb pie and expect to make many more as my supply keeps increasing. We started with three plants and now have 18 after dividing them through the years. I’ve given away many plants and sell the rhubarb in the spring as I can’t freeze all of it. When I served fried dan delion blossoms, the other night, they all “dug in” as they thought they were sweetbreads, which are considered a delicacy around here. Why, Judy was even provoked when she learned we ate some while she was away. I assured her we still had three more to eat sometime after she comes home from college in May. and FEED WITH LIQUID NITROGEN and HERBICIDES WEED The most efficient and sure way to fertilize and control weeds in your corn fields.
