XXX Strawberry Cake Roll 4 eggs, separated % cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla % cup sifted cake flour % teaspoon baking powder V* teaspoon salt Beat egg yolks until light and lemon colored. Slowly add sugar, beating until creamy. Add vanilla and beat. Sift together flour and baking powder; gradually add to sugar mixture. Beat only until smooth. Whip egg whites with salt until stiff but not dry. Fold into flour mixture. Spread batter evenly in greased jelly roll pan lined with heavily greased brown paper. Bake in moderate oven (375 degrees) for 15 minutes. Loosen cake edges at once invert onto cleaned GARBEROILCO. Do not stir at first, let stand and then stir until dissolved. In a large mixing bowl, combine salt, sugar and butter. Add the warm milk. Add the flour, yeast and mix. Knead the bread about 10 minutes until smooth and satiny. Shape into a ball. Place in warm area in a greased pan. Brush melted butter on top. Let bread stand in warm place l y k hours or 2 hours. Punch down and reshape into loaf. Let rise 40-50 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Debbie Frackman age 11 Paradise Apple Pancakes 2 eggs l h. cup flour Vz cup milk Vz teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon liquid margarine V« cup liquid margarine 2 tablespoons cornstarch 1 cup light brown sugar Vz cup milk 4 cups sliced apples Heat oven to 430 degrees. Take a 10 inch skillet and heat for five minutes or until very hot. Combine eggs, flour, milk and salt. Add one tablespoon liquid margarine to coat skillet; pour batter immediately. XXX Banana Chiffon Cake 2 cups cake flour cups sugar 3 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon salt V£ cup salad oil 8 egg yolks Vs cup water % cup mashed banana Vi teaspoon cream of tarter 8 egg whites Sift flour, sugar and baking powder and salt in a medium size mixing bowl. Make a well in it and put in ingredients order listed. Mash bananas well before adding. Put egg whites in a large bowl adding cream of tarter and add beat till very stiff. XXX Chocolate Bavarian Cream 1 envelope unflavored gelatine V 6 cup sugar divided Vs teaspoon salt 2 eggs separated 1 cup milk 1 package semi-sweet chocolate pieces M> teaspoon vanilla 1 cup heavy cream Mix gelatine and Vi cup sugar and salt thoroughly in a saucepan. Beat egg yolks and milk together adding to gelatine mixture. Add chocolate and cook over medium heat stirring con stantly until gelatine is dissolved and chocolate is melted. Remove from heat and beat with a rotary beater until chocolate is blended. Stir in vanilla. Chill to un beaten egg consistency.
