Neighbors Help Injured Farmer The humming of some 40 tractors could be heard around the Stevens area on Tuesday morning, as neigh bors and members of the Ephrata Young Farmers gathered to plow for John R. Zimmerman. Zimmerman, who resides at Ephrata Rl, is recuperating from a back operation and has not been able to do his spring plowing and discing for the upcoming v **- ~ The hum of tractors could be heard for miles around Ephrata on Tuesday morning as nearly 50 neighbors and Ephrata Young Farmers joined From the Beginning corn planting season. When neighbors learned of his condition, they offered their services with the members of the Young Farmers pit ching in also. The workmen plowed and prepared about 80 acres for Zimmerman. A luncheon was prepared for the workers by Mrs. Zimmerman and her friends and relatives. together to plow the fields for John R. Zimmerman who is still recuperating from a back operation. White the men were busy in the fields, the women prepared a luncheon. Those helping with the food were friends and relatives of Mrs. Zimmerman. - H.J& * Dauphin Deposit Trust Company had named a full slate of officers to serve for 1975, at the bank's reorganization meeting of the Board of Directors.
