Draws Large Crowd
A large and enthusiastic
crowd attended the
Rosewood Farm Milking
Herd Dispersal on February
20, at the Guernsey Pavilion.
The enthusiasm of the crowd
showed their interest in cows
with good records that have
been consistently classified
by a reliable and dependable
owner.
Luther Huston had 31 head
in this sale that averaged
$744.35. One bull brought
$550.
John Hull, Westminster,
Md., consigned two heifers
averaging $642.50.
The first cow in the sale,
Wye Heights Chiefs Marie, a
Yellow Creek Noble Chief 8
year old cow, Excellent, with
records up to 19480-871 and
milking 87 lb. per day was
the top cow in the sale at
$l7OO. The contending bidder
was Ellsworth Lehman, Jr.,
York, with Birch Alden
