Marvin, local fieldman for Inter-State Milk Producers Cooperative. Excess milk showed an increase of 36 cents. The January base milk price was $8,94, excess was $5.86, and the butterfat differential was 7.7-cents. In comparison to January levels one year ago, base milk was down 57 cents and excess down 12 cents. The weighted average price for the market was down 63 cents compared to January 1974. A total of 402 million pounds of producer milk was pooled in January of which 64.71 percent was sold as Class I, showing an increase of 1.11 percent of deliveries made in December, and a .02 percent increase over January a year ago. 7598 Order No. 4 producers provided 12.9 million pounds per day to dealers during January, averaging 1707 pounds per farm per day.
