Yorkshire Co-op Association
following the breed’s show at
the State Farm Show. The
total of $B6OO was reported
for 33 animals with 32 gilts
averaging $268.75. The
champion gilt shown by
Reno Thomas, was pur
chased by Joe Monoskey of
Marion Center, Pa., for $560.
The Reserve Champion gilts
also shown by Reno Thomas
was purchased by the
Everett FFA for $460.
Buyers from all over the
eastern United States were
present for the sale.

One load of Kansas riding
horses $587 per head.

reported that Friday’s sale
of draft horses and mules
was attended by an overflow
crowd of nearly 1200 people.
Highlights of the sale in
cluded: better quality pairs
of mules from $l3OO-1800 and
teams of draft horses $BOO
- The top selling pair of
mules sold for $2600 and the
top selling team of draft
horses sold for $2300.
