Homemaking Courses Slated
By Area Home Economists
Within the next few weeks,
several of the area Ex*
tension Services will be
offering courses and
workshops on homcmaking
topics to include cooking and
sewing. Some of the classes
will be one day meetings
with no cost involved while
others such as advanced
sewing will require
registration and fees.
A number of the scheduled
classes arc listed below for
your convenience, however
for registration and more
information on the contents
of the class, please inquire at
the Extension service listed.
Chester County

held in the Extension
Training Center which is
located in the basement of
the Farm and Home Center,

first class scheduled for the
workshop in which you
enrolled.
Beginning Clothing
Construction - A series of six
classes for those persons
who have little or no ex
perience in sewing. Basic
fundamentals taught in
clude: “how to” use a sewing
machine; choose correct
pattern size; make pattern
alternations; select and
prepare fabric; layout;
correct cutting procedures;
and sewing techniques
in a sleeveless, collarless
garment. Cost $15.00.
