FOR THE WEEK:
Compared to the close of last
week, feeder steers were
weak to 1.50 lower after
being as much as 2.00 higher
on Wednesday under a good
demand. Feeder heifers
finished weak to 50 cents
lower. Slaughter cows closed
steady to 50 cents higher.
Slaughter bulls steady to 1.00
lower. Salable receipts this
week totaled near 20,000
head compared to 25,003 last
week and 25,050 same period
last year. Cows comprised
near 14 percent of supply,
while feeders were near 84
percent of total receipts.
