Ayrshire William Ocker, of Ship pensburg, Cumberland County, and Kennard E. Henley, 111, of Cochranville, Chester County, two 4-H members, captured all championships in Ayrshire female classes at the 59th Farm Show. The grand and senior championship was won by an Ocker entry, “Masonic Homes Flashy,” a 5-year-old cow. Another Ocker cow, a 3- year-old, “Harriet Super Holly,” was judged reserve grand champion and reserve senior champion. Kennerd Henley won both junior titles in open class judging. “Towerview Kellys SM,” a junior yearling was judged junior champion, and the reserve junior champion was “Towerview Flashy Minerva,” a senior yearling. John E. Ocker and Family, of Shippensburg, won both the premier exhibitor and premier breeder awards. “Masonic Homes Flashy,” a William Ocker 5-year-old cow that captured the grand championship m open Aryshire classes at the 59th Farm Show, also won the grand championship in junior classes. William is a member of the Cumberland County 4-H Dairy Club. Kennard Henley’s 9-year old Aryshire, .“Androssan GLR Minerva,” captured the reserve championship in junior classes. Kennard is a member of the Manor 4-H Dairy Club.
