Four sheep breeders in the ram - Sth and 6th place; also
area faired well at the Farm 3rd place - 2 ram lambs, 3rd
Show this year. Dr. and Mrs. and 4th in 1-2 year ewe class,
R. D. Herr, Narvon, R 2, Sth in yearling ewe, Sth in 2
exhibited the champion ewe lambs class, 3rd in
Dorset ram with Warn breeders young flock, 3rd in
Mcnhennett, Cochranville pen of lambs and 4th in flock.

William MacCauly, in under 1 year ram class;
Newton Square, Chester Charles Hopkins, Berks, 7th
County, exhibited the in 1-2 year ewe class and

ram with Mr. and Mrs. Clyde in under 1 year ewe class.

unusual.blankets for his sheep. The colorful quilted
wraps were designed and sewn by Richard’s mother,
Mrs. Robert Strauss, Ephrata RDI.

years old, stand 15.2, weigh 3000 lbs., the lead team in
the John Luter hitch of S.D., 1 pair sorrel mare mules
with white stripe in face, Kate and Peggy, 5 years old,
stand 16 hands, a very fancy pair, well broke, 1 pair
blonde sorrel mare mules; Kate and Lindy, 6 and 4,
stand 16.1, weigh 3200 lbs., have worked on feed wagon,
the swing team in the Luter hitch, an exceptional pair,
1 pair sorrel mare mules. Bell and Becky, 8 years old,
stand 16.3 and 16.1, weigh 3300 lbs., broke the best, a
pair for hay rides or boys to work, 1 pair red sorrel
mare mules, Molly, 5 years old, stands 16.1, well broke
and Rose coming 4, stands 16.2, they shohld make 3400
lb. team, 1 pair big gray mare mules, 6 years old, broke
the best, 3 pair big sorrel mare mules, 4 years old, well
broke, 10 pair mules commg 3,1 pair buckskin mules,
work and ride, 3 mules colts. Some good single mules.

28, 1973, sorrel stripe in face, white mane and tail, a
grandson of Penn State Conquer; Reg. sorrel Belgian
stallion, 8 years old; Gray Percheron stallion; Reg.
Red Roan Belgian mare coming 6, sired by Jan Rubis,
broke to work; Reg. sorrel mare; 1 pair blonde sorrel
geldings, 6 years old, weighing 4100 lbs., broke the best,
anyone can drive them, have beenjn parades; 1 pair
sorrel geldings coming 7, weigh 4000 lbs., broke the
best, a show team; 1 pair red roan geldings, 4 years
old, weigh 4000-lbs., extra well broke, a fancy team; 1
pair red roan geldings, 4 and"s, broke to all farm work;
1 pair sorrel geldings, weighing 4200 lbs ; 1 pair red
sorrel geldings, 7 and 8, broke with lots of snap, should
make a pulling team, weigh over 4000 lbs., 1 pair
blonde geldings, 3 and 4; 1 pair cream colored
geldings, 4 and 5; pair big spotted horses; gray
gelding; 3 pair sorrel mares in foal; Clydesdale mare,
4 years old. 8 Registered Belgians. Gray Jack. 5 years
old. Some good single mares in foal. Many other horses
weighing 1500 to 1800 lbs. Many of these horses and
mules will be Coggins tested.
IMPLEMENTS 2 h PTO corn binder with long
loader, 2 way Sulky plows, mowers, rare hay wagon
used to haul hay to Phila.over 100 years ago. All kinds
of other wagons, buggies, carts, 2 horse sleigh with
box, manure spreaders, harness and some misc. items.
We will hitch some of the horses and mules in the
morning before the sale.
