has been a cooperative
scholar traveing to the
PAFC conferences at
Shippensburg State College.
Gordon has been on the
livestock judging team and
traveled to Kansas City to
compete at the National FFA
conferences He has also
entered the FFA tractor
driving contests and this
year placed first in the area.
Gordon’s main FFA
project has been in the field
of dairy. He presently owns 4
registered Holstein cows and
2 heifers and is a member of
the Jr. Holstein Club.

When asked how he would related groups,

Gordon explained that he
would like to tell more people
about FFA and its activities
“Many people just don’t
know what FFA is all
about,” he stated. “I think
we need to give it a new
image and let others know
about the work and activities
we get involved in.”

organization and besides
giving you responsibility it
makes you proud of your
accomplishments.”
Gordon certainly has
much to be proud of with all
the responsibility he has
taken on over the past few
years. For along with his
farm related activities he is
a also a student leader in
school and was a varsity
wrestler.
Gordon is planning to go on
to college and study Dairy
Science but for the moment
he is consentrating on
completing his senior year at
Pequea Valley.
During the Farm Show, to
be held in January, Gordon
will be receiving the
Keystone Farming Degree,
significant of the work and
responsibility he has taken
on during the past four years
in FFA.
