planned were canceled
because of the extreme cold
weather.
FFA members recently
enjoyed a hay ride at the
farm of Chester and Howard
Stoltzfus. Recreation
committee chairman Mike
Aikens planned the activity
which 25 members and
guests participated.
Following the frigid hayride,
members enjoyed equally
frigid hotdogs.
Members would like to
thank Darrel Stoltzfus for

the overall Importance of
agriculture in all our lives.

While the farm segment of
the total population has
decreased over the years,
Sperry New Holland, a
leading farm machinery
manufacturer, projects
agriculture and agribusiness
are responsible for the
employment of 16 million
workers in the U.S. In
Canada, more than 230,000

directly related to
agriculture and many
thousands more work in
industries making products
used by agriculture.
