Storing Apples
Keep apples in a plastic
bag in your refrigerator for
best keeping quality. Ex
tension pomologists at The
Pennsylvania State
University say that at
temperatures of 31 to 32
degrees, Winesap, Stayman,
and York Imperial apples
will keep well for up to 30
weeks. Delicious apples will
keep just about that long, but
Grimes Goldens will only
keep for 8 to 9 weeks in the
refrigerator.
