Ten-year-old Bill Wylie of Chester County showed
the Grand Champion steer at Tuesday’s Southeast 4-
H Baby Beef Show. The animal was purchased for
$1.84 per pound by James R. Mummau, owner of the
Lancaster County Farm Restaurant in Elizabethtown.

Lancaster Stockyards.

County Trio Steer class.
Lancaster placed second
with Montgomery third and
Dauphin County fourth.
' This year, represented the
first time that 4-Hers from
Montgomery County had
competed in the show. The
County was represented by
five entries in the com
petition.

contest.
The Champion crossbred
steer was shown by Douglas
Hoover, Lancaster County
with Gary Eberly’s steer
placing as reserve cham
pion.
Bernie Gish, also of
Lancaster County showed
the champion Hereford steer
with Lucy Brubaker of
Lancaster taking reserve
honors with her animal.
Although4-Hers from
Lancaster County showed
many of the prize winning
animals it was the triple
