In addition to group discussions and meetings the youths will be invited to tour and participate in many recognition events. Those young people who will be going to the Congress from the southeastern portion of Pennsylvania include: Jeff Roth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Roth, RDI, Spring Grove. Jeff will be competing for the National Award in Citizenship and represents York County. Jeff has been an active member of the York County Baby Beef Club, the 4-H County Council and the County Horticulture Club. Paul is a member of the Tilden 4-H Club and has been a teen leader for the past several years. He was a winner in the PAFC co-op program and represented the State at the National program. He is a senior at the Hamburg High School and is interested in photography. Four youths will be at tending the Congress from Chester County; they in clude: Joan Liesau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Liesau of Spring City. Joan is a member of the Tri- Community 4-H Club and was an award winner in the Lancaster Farmln sheep program. Joan has a number of sheep in her breeding flock and has won numerous awards in showing competition with her animals. Along with her 4-H work, Joan was selected as the PA. Sheep and Wool Queen for 1975. Holly Scheib, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Scheib, Phoenixville. Holly is also representing the Tri- Community 4-H Club and is an award winner in the agriculture program. Holly has been active in agriculture work and has done research in corn genetics. She is currently a freshman at Kutztown State College. Sarah Weinstock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Weinstock, Phoenixville. Sarah has been active in the Che-De-Be Goat Club and is also a member of the Tri-Community 4-H Club. Sarah has been a teen leader of her club and was a winner in the Dairy Foods Depart ment. Libby Ekdahl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Ek dahl, West Chester. Libby will be representing the Marshallton 4-H club in the photography category. Libby had done much work in promoting 4-H through photography and helped to organize her community club. Libby is presently a sophomore at Michigan State University. Saturday, Nov. 30,1974 Hamburg FFA Notes The new officers for the Hamburg Area F.F.A. are: president, Alfred Adam; Vice President, Randy Hoffman; Secretary, Dennis Kunkle; Treasurer, Earl Mogel; Reporter, James Adam; Sentinel, Scott Sechler; Chaplin, Matt Wicks; Historian, James Tothero. On October 10, 1974 Hamburg Area F.F.A. held its annual initiation. There were thirty greenhands initiated this year. Out of these thirty, Mark Wicks was chosen to represent Hamburg Area F.F.A. at Leadership Training Con ference, as outstanding greenhand. Six of tl)e of ficers were also present at the Leadership Training Conference held October 29th at Govenor Mifflin High School. This Conference was held so that the officers of each Berks County Chapter could serve the Chapters with more and better knowledge. This year as in many years of the past Hamburg Chapter of die F.F.A. participated in the annual Hamburg King Frost Parade with a float. Although we did encounter slight difficulties we were still able to run our float the entire distance of the Parade, James Adam Reporter Four youths from Lan caster County will be honored at the Congress as their photographic works will be displayed as a part of the first 4-H Photo Exhibition.
