Having selected 50 cows out of a dairy of 174, we will sell at Bob
Slingerland's barn, located 2 miles South of Troy, Pa., Bradford Co.,
on Route 14, on
SATURDAY,
60 HEAD CATTLE 60
These hand-picked cows are all Purebred Holstems
from the United Breeders Inc. from Guelph, Ontario,
Canada. Mr. Marshall and his son have been breeding
Purebred Holstein cattle for 65 years.
SIRES REPRESENTED: Nuggett, Chieftan
Bonanza, Starlite, Ormsby, Achilles, Dark Leader and
Herdmaster.
These cattle are all young, with good udders and fair
condition. There will be close cows, fresh cows and
some bred back. These cows were picked from the
dairy of Kohlen and Marion Marshall, Ontario,
Canada. Many of these cows are graded.

Hort dub
The York County 4-H
Horticulture club held their
November meeting recently
at the 4-H Center at 7:30 p.m.
The meeting was made up of
two workshops. The first,
which was conducted by Mr.
and Mrs. Jacob Bechtel,
consisted of making 6 to 8
inch Christmas wreaths
from your various pine cones
and nuts. The second work
shop, which was conducted
by Mrs. J. Maurice Roth,
consisted of making small
pine cone dolls with pine
cones and other materials
such as clowns, birds, etc.
There was a total of 27 people
in attendance. The club’s
next meeting will be on
February 7, 1975. It will be a
spring organization meeting
for all Horticulture members
for the new year...
