Capon Contest Winners
Judy Stoltzfus walked champion prize went to
away with the grand Mary Ann Yunginger,
champion ribbon at the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Elizabethtown-Donegal 4-H Richard Yunginger,
Ag Club’s annual capon show Marietta Rl.
on Tuesday. There were ten The capon contest is

Third and fourth place
prizes were captured by Jim
Kreider, Manheim R 5, and
James Sauder, Mount Joy,
R 2 respectively. The owners
of the top four birds also
shared the top four overall
prizes. The overall com
petition includes the con
testants’ project books as
well as the birds. First
through fourth overall
placings were: Judy Stoltz
fux, first; Jim Kreider,
second; James Sauder,
third; and Mary Ann
Yuninger, fourth.
Club leader Roy Sauder,
Mount Joy R 2, reported that
the 4-H’ers had received
their capons on June 6.
Judges for the event were
Herb Jordan and Morris
Mast, poultry specialists
from the Penn State.
