Two of the vinners, Linda Sue Witmer and Brenda Eshelman, 4-H’ers Get A sellout crowd was on band for the annual Lan caster County 4-H Dairy Banquet last Friday night at the Good-‘n-Plenty Restaurant. Close to 40 awards were distributed during the evening, mostly for accomplishments posted during the past year in county, state and district shows. Five award winners, though, were not known before the meeting. These were the winners of project oook honors in each of the county’s dairy breeds. Top prize went to Linda Sue Witmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Rohrer Witmer, Willow Street. She was unable to attend the meeting, so her brother accepted awards for her from Dick Stein, representing Car nation Co., and Robert Gregory of Pennfield Corp. Linda’s was the top Brown Swiss entry. The top Guernsey project award was presented to Barbara Aaron, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Aaron, Peach Bottom. Brenda Eshelman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Eshelman, Elizabethtown, will receive the silver plate for the top Ayrshire project book. She was unable to attend.
