    ABS Holds Biennial
Colorado State University,
Port Collins, Colorado, was
the site for the 1974
American Breeders Service
Biennial Conference.
Employees from all parts
of the world gathered for two
and one-half days to review
past accomplishments and
establish new objectives for
the next four years. The
conference theme was Five
Million More .. five million
more inseminations, con
sisting of four million beef
and one million dairy cows
by 1978.
The highlight of the con
ference was a report on
outstanding growth
.worldwide. Included was the

Development, FAO, Rome,
Italy, on “The World
Livestock Situation;” and a
visit with Senator Harry

The ABS Open House
celebration at the new
Wellington, Colorado facility
was attended by more than
1,700 persons during a two
day event just prior to the
conference.
Other ABS happenings
include a third Exotic
Weekend at Calgary,
Alberta, Canada, which will
be the first public exposure
of the expansion Just com
pleted at this facility. The
September event will feature
a bull parade of Exotic bulls,
as well as an Exhibit Hall
featuring 50 pens of progeny,
plus Canadian Breed
Associations and beef
publication displays.
