Elected
Grange
Master
J. Luther Snyder, of Camp
-Hill (Cumberland County)
was installed recently as the
18th master 'of the Penn
sylvania State Grange.
Snyder was elected to a
two-year term to succeed A.
Wayne Headinger, of
Fleetwood RDI, (Berks
County) who rounded out six
years of service as master of '
the State Grange.
The new master had
served as state Grange
secretary since 1966 and was
the twelfth man to fill that
position. He also had served
as state deputy master for
York and Adams counties,
master of the York-Adams
Pomona Grange and of
Valley Grange No. 1360, of
Lewtiberry. Prior to 1966,
Snyder had been with the
U.S. Postal Service and
before that was engaged in
production control with the
U.S. Air Force at Mid
dletown.
' Snyder is married to the
former Fae Ruth Yetter, of
Mifflintown RD2. They have
five children, Anna May, Lou
Ann, James L., Jr., Joyce
and Jennifer. All but Jen
nifer, the youngest, are
active in the Grange.

Leinberger finished on top in a recent
egg merchandising contest con
ducted in the Harrisburg area by the
department of agriculture and the
poultry federation. Prize funds for the
contest came from the American Egg
Board.
