Renames
The three top officers of
Agway Inc. were reelected
(Friday, Nov. 1) following
the Agway Annual Meeting
in Syracuse, New York.
They are: George Steele,
chairman of the board;
Henry W. Bibus, vice
chairman of the board; and
Ronald N. Goddard,
executive vice president and
general manager.
Agway Inc., with
headquarters in Syracuse, is
a farm supply and food
marketing cooperative
owned by 113,000 farmers in
12 northeastern states and
guided by an 18-member
board of directors, all of
whom are farmers. »
Steele, a Pocopson, Pa.
dairyman, was elected to his
fourth three-year term as a
director. He was the board’s
choice to be its chairman
again, a post he has occupied

Wrightstown, N.J. vegetable
and grain grower, was first
elected vice chairman in
1971. For 18 years he had

Cooperative GLF Exchange,
another of Agway’s
predecessor organizations.
Goddard, the
organization’s chief
executive officer, has been
with Agway since 1937. He
held a number of key
positions in the cooperative’s
retail, planning, and
marketing operations before
being named assistant
general manager in 1968
and a general manager in
1969

Wayne also received

showing his animals, Wayne
has also achieved honors for
his 4-H work in leadership
