Sperry Announces Promotions Sperry New Holland has named James R. Burkholder, Leola, as product manager for forage equipment and farm wagons, according to an announcement by Paul A. O’Brien, product develop ment director. Burkholder will be suc ceeded by John B. Furry, branch training manager with the company in Denver, Colorado, as product manager for the round baler. Burkholder joined the company in December 1965 as a design engineer and was transferred to the Marketing Division in 1968 to become a sales trainee. Later that year he was assigned to Branch SO, Joliet, Illinois, as a sales representative. In 1970, Burkholder was promoted and transferred to Branch 85, . Denver, Colorado, where he served as branch training manager. He also was a district sales manager in Branch 10, Liverpool, New York, before becoming a product manager in 1972. A native of Harrisonburg, Virginia, Burkholder is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute at Blacksburg, where he received a master’s degree in agricultural engineering. Uncaster Farming.
