Entertainment was provided by the Carter Family, a country music troupe from Nashville, Tenn. According to fair officials, there were 4,991 entries in the various departments and $6,863 of prize money awarded. Each entry is judged and given a number of points and the individual with the highest accumulation of points in each division is awarded a trophy from the National Bank of Boyertown. Ludwig has been promoted from junior industrial engineer at Sperry New Holland to night-shift finishing foreman. He replaces George P. Althouse, who will now handle night-shift operations for a newly created finishing section. Other promotions to supervisory positions at the firm’s New Holland, Pa., plant were also announced recently. Elmer Mantyla, general machine shop operator, was promoted to section foreman for the night shift in the machining department. Donald L. Heffley has been promoted to assembly foreman, Michael W.
