Ephrara Fair Activities
The 1974 edition of the
Ephrata Fair will take place
next week from Tuesday,
Sept. 24th to Saturday, Sept.
28th. Numerous activities
and events have been
scheduled for the five days,
activities include;
Tuesday, Sept. 24
5:00 p.m. - Pork Chop
Carcass Lamb Sale
Scheduled
Six lamb carcasses, all 4-H
and FFA entries in the
Ephrata Fair carcass lamb
contest, will be auctioned off
next Friday, September 27 in
Tent City at the Ephrata
Fair. Auctioneer Bobby
Montgomery, “The
Ol’Sherriff” will start the
sale at 6:30 p.m.
The lambs will be sold in
the order of their placing in
the carcass judging. They’ll
be sold on the basis of
dressed weight, and will be
prepared in standard cuts,
wrapped in freezer paper
and chilled. Each carcass is
expected to average from 40
to 45 pounds of dressed meat.
Prospective buyers can
either attend the sale, or
they can submit bids to Miss
