At 887 pounds of fat, XROG was the high cow for the month producing 20,579 pounds of
milk at a 4.3 percent butterfat test. This registered Holstein is owned by Sinking Spring
Farm Inc. of EDS, York. Second high cow was Patty, with 20,293 pounds of milk and 842
pounds of fat at a 4.1 test, a Holstein owned by Eugene Kilgore, RD2, Airvilie.
High herd, was once again Sinking Spring Farm Inc., RDS, York with an average of 65.1
cows producing 52.9 pounds of milk at a 3.8 percent butterfat for 2.01 daily pounds of but
terfat average. Second high herd was Curtis V. Thompson, RD2, Delta, with 83.2 cows, 49.8
pounds of milk at 4.0 percent butterfat for a 1.97 daily average of butterfat.
