The Festival takes place
on the grounds of the
Kempton Farm Museum.
Howard Geisinger, curator
of the museum, exhibits his
tum-of-the century tractors,
old motors and old farm
implements. Mr. Geisinger
delights in conducting in
formal tours of the activities
and exhibits.
The shearing of sheep, the
caring of bees, the milking of
cows will be demonstrated
as examples of what people
did on the old farm. Mat
tresses are stuffed with
straw, brooms are bound,
and candles are dipped by
expert craftsmen and
women.
Authentic Pennsylvania
Dutch food such as funnel
cakes and shoo-fly-pie - the
pie that’s soft on the bottom*
will be made at the festival.
Full course meals are
available at reasonable
prices at the Kempton
Community Center, adjacent
to the festival.
Admission is $1.50,
children under 12 free,
