Comparison Shopping
“Sensible shopping makes
cents” is a good motto to keep
in mind whenever you are shop
ping This is especially true today
with rising prices on just about
everything \nd comparison shop
ping makes sense
A major bank in New "York
recently sent two shoppers to the
same supermarket with the same
grocery list —but one shopper
was told to compart price'- while
the other was not The result was
an Sll 18 diflcrencc in their gro
cery bills The comparison ‘■hop
per paid $25 12 feu - the similar
items for which the othei shop
per paid $36 30
The smart shopper should com
pare prices by using the unit
pricing concept—how much are
\ou actual!' paiing for each
ounce, quart or pound Compar
mg sire and convenience \uth
what you realk need or have
room for are other important
comparisons Comparing brands
is also important due to the wide
variation in prices And finally,
compare sour own menu possi
bilities for good meals at lower
prices

It took the Big Dutchman’
controlled confinement
system to get me to go
whole hog
I'talked with the
pros at Big Dutchman
and by adding a
few ideas of my own
I could see that an initial
investment in their
confinement system would
add up to long range
profits for me
