    York 4-Hers Gather For Dairy Round-Up
4-Hers from all over York J
County gathered Wednesday
at the York Fairgrounds for
their annual Dairy Round
up.
Judging began at 10:00
a.m. with Alan Bair,
Associate County Agent for
Lancaster County, serving
as the type judge. Fitting
and showing judge for the
event was Duane Duncan,
County Agent for Cum
berland County.
Five breeds of cattle in
cluding Jersey, Aryshire,
Brown Swiss, Guernseys and
Holsteins were exhibited by
the 4-H club members.
Winners in the breed classes
are as follows:
Jersey
In the Jersey Intermediate
Calf Class first place went to
Kristi Ebaugh, RD2,
Stewartstown. Second place
was awarded to Jeff Rexroth
RDI, Airville. In the Junior
Yearling class, Robert
Ebaugh was first and also
received a Master Fitter
Award and Reserve Grand
Champion Jersey honors.
Kristi Ebaugh showed the
Grand Champion Jersey.
Ayrshire
Kenneth Harden RD2, New
Freedom captured first
place in the Jr. Calf Class
and also received a Master
Fitter and Master Showing
award.
In the Intermediate Call
Class, Jonathan Myers, RDI,
Thomasville, captured first
prize along with Reserve
Grand Champion Ayrshire.
In the senior calf class Ist
place and a Master Fitter
Award went to Donald
Clubb, RD2, New Freedom.
Brown Swiss
In the Senior Calf Class,
Paul Myers 111 RDI,
Thomasville, placed first
and was also awarded a
Master Fitter Award and
Grand Champion honors.
Second place went to Nancy
Krone, RD2, Glen Rock.

Another brother and sister team
comprised of George and Cindy
Knight, Airville, captured the Grand
Nancy Krone also won a
Master Fitter award in the
Senior Yearling class.
Guernseys
Todd Rutter, Lightnerßd.,
York, won first and a Master
Fitter Award in the Junior
Calf class. Second place was
awarded to Darryl Rohr
baugh, New Freedom and
Melea Ebaugh, RD2,
Stewartstown placed third.
Doug Kilgore, RD2, Air
ville, captured first in the
Intermediate Calf Class and
also won a Master Fitter
Award and Reserve Jr.
Champion award.
Second place and a Master
Fitter award went to
Raeanne Keeney RDII,
York. Tina Rutter, Lightner
Rd., York, who placed third,
was awarded a Master Fitter
and Master Showman
award.
In the Senior Calf Class,
first place went to Tim
WOLGEMUTH BROS., INC.
MOUNT JOY, PA.
Rutter along with a Master
Fitter Award. Second went
to Doug Kilgore.
Cindy Rutter, Lightner Rd.
York, won first place in the
Junior yearling class and
was also awarded a Master
Fitter and Master Showman
award. Cindy also placed
first in the 2 year-old class
and the 3 year old class. And
had the Grand Champion
Guernsey.
Holsteins
Darlene Doll, RDI, Glen
Rock showed the first place
calf in the Junior Calf Class.
Second place went to Lisa
Glatfleter, RDI Mt, Wolf
along with a Master Fitter
Award. Third place was
awarded to Beverly Brown
RDI, Delta.
George Knight, Airville,
showed the first place
animal in the Intermediate
Calf Class and received a
Master Fitter Award. Paul

Cindy and Tim Rutter, Lightner Road, York, showed
the Grand and Reserve Grand Champion Guernseys
at the 4-H Dairy Round-up on Wednesday.
Master Fitter award.
In the Senior Calf Class,
first place went to Roy
Thompson, RDI, East
Berlin, along with a Master
Fitter Award. Second place

went to Glenn Growl, RD2,
Airville. He also received a
Master Showman Award.
Third and a Master
Showman went to Dana Doll,
RDI, Glen Rock.
James Knight, Airville,
showed the Jr. Champion
Holstein.
Glenn Growl, Airville,
placed first in the Senior
yearling class with Beverly
Brown placing second with a
Master Showman award.
In the 2 year old class,
Paul Knight, Airville, placed
first with Mark McWilliams,
RD2, Seven Valleys placing
second and receiving a
Master Showman award.
Dennis McWilliams RD2,
Seven Valleys placed thirds
Andy Knight, Airville took
first place in die 3 year old
class. Second went to James
Knight and Linda Ebaugh
placed third.
In the Mature Cow class,
George Knight placed first
and showed the Grand
Champion Holstein. Second
place and reserve Grand
Champion honors went to
Cindy Knight also of Airville.
