Richard, who is 15, has
helped his brother, Robert on
many projects from gar
dening to livestock. He is
also an accomplished car
penter whose work is out
standing for a young man.
Richard has built three
greenhouses which he has
erected behind his parents
home.
Richard will be a
sophomore at Ephrata High
School this year and will be
continuing projects as a
member of the Cloister FFA.
Richard has played on the
FFA basketball team and
the baseball team also.
Steve is the youngest of the
Strauss brothers but helps
quite a bit. He will be a
freshman this year at
Ephrata and is looking
forward to joining the
Cloister FFA.
During junior high school
he was a member and officer
of the Junior Ag Club and has
carried many projects in
cluding livestock and
garening.
Steve explained that he is
anxious to join the Cloister
Chapter but was a little
afraid of their “notorius
initiation”.
Working together has paid
off for the Strauss brothers
as evidenced by their many
trophies and ribbons that
have been proudly displayed
in their den. Each has taken
pride in their individual
work but are even more
proud of the awards that
they have won by working
together. For them team
work is what really counts.
