Just 2 pounds short of 1,000; and 8 year old registered
Holstein cow owned by David Stewart, RDI, Delt completed
the highest 305 day lactation. Eliza produced 24,365 pounds of
milk at an average 4.1 percent butterfat totaling 998 lb. of
butterfat. Second high was Carol, producing 22,671 pounds of
milk at a 4.3 test for 968 pounds of butterfat, a registered
Holstein owned by Sinking Springs Farm Inc., RDS, York.
Sinking Springs Farm was the high herd for daily butterfat
pounds. 67.7 registered Holstein cows produced 57.1 lbs. of
milk at a 4.0 percent butterfat test and 2.27 daily lbs. of
butterfat. David Stewart’s herd placed second with 54
registered Holsteins producing 54.3 lbs. of milk at a 3.8
percent test for a total of 2.06 daily pounds of butterat.
