When asked how she got interested in horses, Wylie remarked that her family had always been interested in horses especially her mother’s relatives. “I got my first horse in 7th grade when I was 12 and have been interested in them ever since,” she explained. Since she will be going away to college in the fall, Wylie will be selling her horse My Star Wonder. “I would like to keep the horse,” she explained “but it would be too much for my sister to take care.” Before she leaves, Wylie hopes to be able to ride in the County 4-H show to be held in August at the Lancaster Riding Club. Lancaster 4-Hers Win Regional Awards Fifteen Lancaster County 4-H Members participated in Region 4-H Demonstration Day, July 12, at Northern High School, York County. Nancy and Susan Herr, Lancaster, and Gary Brubaker, Lancaster and Ken Longenecker, Lititz were chosen to represent Lancaster County at 4-H State Days at Penn State August 5-7.
