Highlight of the event will be the selection of a new state Grange prince and -.princess to succeed the reigning title holders Marcia Provance, 17 of Grove City, and Rodney Treichler, 18, of Kutztown RD3. The new prince and princess will serve for the 1974-1975 year and will compete for the national titles at the National Grange convention in Ohio in November 1975. Workshops and outdoor activities will fill the three day program at Camp Kanesatake, according to Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth L. Schlegel, of Fleetwood RD3, the state Grange youth directors. Following the youth camp, youngsters in the 10-14 age group will attend the junior camp, also at Camp Kanesatake, from July 14 to 20. Features of the program will be talent contests and the selection of a junior Grange prince and princess. Winners will participate in the state Grange convention at Washington in October. The current junior prince and princess are Mark Shankweiler, of Schnecksville RD2, and Gay Bradley, of Meadville. A record attendance is expected, according to Mrs. Alan Merkel, Kutztown RD3, chairman of the state Grange’s junior committee.
