Placements of broiler chicks in the Commonwealth during die week ending June 22, 1974 were 1,330,000. The placements were 15 percent above the corresponding week a year earlier, and 6 percent below a year earlier. Settings for broiler chicks were 1,952,000 - 6 percent above the previous week and 12 percent below the com parable period * a year earlier.
