The meeting was postponed a week from the usual second Tuesday-of each month because of iterference with ' member’s commencement exercises. The program began with a fitting and showing demonstration given by a former dub member, Peter Witmer. During the meeting Fontana 4-H Demonstrations were given at the second meeting of the Fontana 4-H Club. It was held at the Fontana Community Building. Hie .meeting was held last Thursday. Six members attended with Mrs. Linda Eckenrode and Mrs. Marylon Balmer. Two members were elected to represent the club as our Junior and Senior contestants in the yearly 4-H Queen contest. They were Mary Ellen Hitler and Jane McSparran respectively. Carol Henkle served, as judge for both the Junior and Senior divisions. The first four pladngs will participate in this county contest, to be held July 20th at the Lan caster Riding dub. Results of the show are as follows: Junior Division: Ist - Sue Baker; 2nd- Vicki Bare; 3rd - Amy Katz; 4th - Sherri Myers; sth - Beth Robbins; 6th - Robert Keeney. The group dedded to sell Potato Chips as their fund raising project. The chips will be ready for pick-up at Jay Stauffer’s or Carl Thomas’s home July 12 and 13. The dub was encouraged to attend county demon stration day Tuesday, July 2nd at 1:00 p.m. at the Farm and Home Center. For transportation contact one of the dub advisors. The Busy Bakers 4-H Thirteen members at tended the Busy Bakers Cooking Club June 25,1974 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Mt. Joy, Pa. Following a short business meeting the Busy Bakers learned to makepudding and to bake brownies. They also made an orange sherbet punch.
