Contest to be held, Thursday,

Tie pageant will be at 8 p.m.

The contestants are:
Mary Ann Tkaczuk, 18, of
1.D.2 Elverson, is the
laughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Jeorge Tkaczuk. She is a
nember of the Northern
Jhester County 4-H Black
md White Club, the 4-H

Church. Her family has been

Joy Ann Rothenberger, 19,

Coventry Brethren, where
she is a member of the youth
group. In. dairying for 19
years, the Kulps have 88
Ayrshires and Holsteins.
Tina is enrolled at
Elizabethotwn College and
plans to major in business
administration.
Beth Reid, 17, of Green
wood Farm, Parkesburg, is
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Landis S. Reid. At Octorara
High School she participates
in student council, band,
chorus, and various clubs.
She is interested in music
and summer camp work
with retarded children, and
is a member of Upper Oc
torara Presbyterian Church.
Her family has been in
dairying for 15 years and has
65 Holsteins. Beth plans to
attend the Laukenau
Hospital School of Nursing.
Karen Lynn Laffey, 17, of
Glenville Rd., Cochranviile,
is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Norman G. Laffey. She
is a former 4-H club member
and belongs to the Future
Business Leaders at Oc
torara High School. The
Laffey’s have 300 Holsteins
and have been in dairying 26
years. Karen plans to work
at the Kitchen Kettle Gift
Shop in Intercourse.
Tina Marie Acker, 16, of
Chester Springs R.D.I, is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Samuel B. Acker. She is a
member of 4-H, Harrison

Gymnastic team, and the
Leaders ' Club at
Downingtown High School.
Her family, dairy farmers
for 25 years, has 300
Holsteins. Tina plans to
major in Physical Education
at West Chester.
Linda Yeager, 18, of
Phoenizville R.D.2, is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
John l£eager. She is
secretary of Tri-Community
4-H Club, a member of 4-H
dairy club and the Junior
Holstein Association, a
hockey and lacrosse player
and member of the Girl’s
Varsity Club at Pfaoenixville
High School, and a member
of the East Vincent youth
group. Her family has been
in dallying 20 years and has
60 Holsteins. Linda has plans
for a career in medicine.
Sharon Louise Lester, 10,
of R.D.I Lincoln University,
is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Forrest L. Lester. She
is studying horticulture at
Central Chester County Vo-
Tech and is a member of
FFA, the New London
Presbyterian Church, and
the Junior Classical League.
The Lester’s have been
dairying for 25 years and
have 100 Holsteins. Sharon
plans to continue her study of
horticulture in college, with
a possible major in land
scaping.
Martha L. Shivery, 19, of
R.D.I, Box 80, Cochranville
is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Paul C. Shivery, Sr. She
is a member of the Rainbow
Girls, collected for volunteer
Heart Fund, taught Bible
school, and participated in
the Oxford Area High School
band and chorus. Martha has
just completed her freshman
year at York Academy of
Arts. Martha’s family have
been lifetime farmers and
have 41 Holsteins.

graduation. Her family has
been in dairying 22 years and
have 56 Holsteins.
Sarah Jane Weinstock, 17,

Phoenizville, is the daughter
of Dr. and Mrs. Joseph
Weinstock. She is a member
of the Tri-Community 4-H
Club, the Che-del-B-4-H Club,
Chester County Many Ser
vices Co-op. Sarah attends
Phoenizville High School
and participates in the band.
National Honor Society,
Student Council, In
ternational Club, Latin Club
and Varsity Club. She is also
a member of the United
Synagogue Youth. Sarah’s
family has been in dairying
for 8 years and have 3 Jersey
cows. After graduation from
high school Sarah plans to
attend college.
Barbara Anne Walton, 19,
of London Grove, is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
David S. Walton. She has
participated in the Union
ville Community Fair’s
Harvest Queen Pageant and
is a member of the Safe
Hunters Club. She has been a
member of 4-H and .the
Chester County Art Center
Chorus. The Walton family
has been in dairying since
1825 and has 60 Holsteins.
Barbara graduated from
Unionville High School, then
worked on the family farm
for a year before attending
Brandywine Junior College.
Judy Diane Lindsey, 16, of
R.D.2, Box 412, Oxford, is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
John W. Lindsey. Her ac
tivities include Honor
Society, FBLA, Broadcaster,
