Manheim The Manheim Central FFA Chapter recently elected a new set of officers for the 1974-75 school year. Bob Hershey, a junior in agriculture was elected as the Chapter’s president. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Hershey of Manheim RD3. Bob has developed his leadership abilities in the FFA by participating in parliamentary procedure and public speaking con tests. Kevin Rohrer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Rohrer, Manheim BD2 was elected as vice president. Kevin is also a junior in vocational agriculture. He represented FFA Elects Officers the Chapter in State and Regional poultry judging and has an honor roll grade average. Earl Geib, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence B. Geib, RIM, Manheim will become the Chapter’s new treasurer. Earl is a sophomore and is active in the Chapter Beef Club. Earl will be respon sible for managing the Chapter budget and the various fund raising ac tivities of the Chapter. Ruby Ginder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Ginder, RD3, Elizabethtown, was selected as the 1974-75 Chapter secretary. Ruby was recently turned as the Lancaster Farming, Saturday, May 25,1974 Manfieim FFA Star Chapter Farmer. She also placed fourth in the regional FFA public speaking contest. Ruby’s projects include Beef and Dairy. Phil Garber, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Garber of Manheim RD3 will serve as the Chapter sentinel. Phil’s agriculture projects include Beef and Swine. He was also a member of the Chapter’s Parliamentary Procedure team. _ Ron Kreider, son of Mr. and Mrs. Noah Kreider of Manheim was elected as reporter. Ron was also a Chapter Star farmer and will be a junior. Ron has attended the summer National Leadership Training Con ference in Washington, D.C. conducted by the national FFA. Steve Hershey, son of Bruce Hershey of Manheim RD3 was selected as Chapter chaplain. Steve recently won the Lancaster County Creed Contest. He will be a shphomore in agriculture and is an honor student. . Randy Stoltzfus was elected as the Chapter’s second vice president. Randy is the Star Greenhand this year and an honor roll student as well. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Stoltzfus of Mt. Joy, RDI. Dean Hershey, a fresh man, was elected as assistant Chapter reporter. He has participated in the freshman public speaking contest and the county land judging contest. Dean is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Hershey, RD2, Manheim. Bob Hershey and Kevin Rohrer will be attending the national FFA Leadership Training conference con ducted by the national FFA officers in Washington the week of June 24. During their week in Washington they will have the opportunity to visit with their Congressman and senators as well as the leaders in the national FFA organization.
