Opening the week will be Goodwill Sunday, with many churches in Lancaster County, taking part through special services or collec tions. Lancaster Mayor Richard Scott will tour die Goodwill rehabilitation facility at 1048 N. Plum St., Lancaster on Monday morning May 6 at 8:00 a.m. to officially begin weeklong Open House ac tivities. The mayor will also sign a proclamation for Goodwill Week in Lancaster at that time. Open House will be con ducted at the Lancaster Goodwill facilities at 1048 N. Plum St., Lancaster from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday, May 6- 10. Everyone is invited to tour the workshop facilities as well as view a display of trophies and presentations made to Joyce Burkholder of the Lancaster Goodwill. Joyce is National Goodwill Worker of 1973, and has toured the nation during the past year as the official ambassor of all member Goodwills. A Goodwill Spring Fashion Show will be held in the Goodwill retail store at 28 W. King St., Lancaster on May 10 at 7:00 p.m. Models will fashion numerous spring outfits donated to Goodwill by local retail stores and ON DISPLAY AT individual contributors. Culminating Goodwill Week will be Lancaster Goodwill’s 2nd Banquet held on Saturday evening, May 11 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lancaster Catholic High School. Awards of appreciation will be presented to various media and volunteers who have given their time and services to Goodwill during 1973. Guest speaker for the evening will be Dean Phillips, National Executive Director of Goodwill In dustries of America, Inc. Store sales at all four Goodwill stores in Lan caster, Manheim, Ephrata, and East Earl will run throughout Goodwill Week.
