President Don Windle acted as toastmaster for the evening. The meeting was called to order at 7:15 p.m. with opening ceremonies by the Chapter Officers. Robert Denlinger, assistant prin cipal welcomed 190 parents, FFA members, school board members, sponsors and guests of the school. Gerald Metzler, state FFA treasurer and a member of the Octorara chapter brought greetings from the Pennsylvania State FFA Association. Representing the national FFA organization was Doyle Waybright, national vice president. A slide presentation of chapter projects and ac tivities was given by Sharon Henley, chapter reporter. The Honorary Chapter Farmer degree was con ferred upon individuals who made important con tributions to the FFA Chapter this year. Robert Met zler, parents of Gerald Metzler; Mr. & Mrs. Donald Windle parents of Don Windle Jr., chapter president; Richard Gilpin; Mrs. Kennard Henley; Ivan Stauffer; and William Trommer. Many chapter members received awards for out standing achievement. Named as Chapter Star Farmer was Donald Windle. The Star Greenhand was Bruce Wrigley.
