Patrol Woman Engle of the
Pennsylvania State Police
was featured speaker on
“Protecting Women” at the
March meeting of Farm
Woman Society 19 on Friday
evening, March 8. The
Society met at the home of
Mrs. Charles M. Long, 3719
Nolt Road, Landisville with
27 members present.
Two new members, Mrs.
J. Wilmer Charles, East
Petersburg, and Mrs.
Blanche Miller, Lancaster,
were welcomed into the
organization.
A rummage sale is
scheduled for April 29 and 30.
Society 3 will entertain the
group Saturday, April 20, at
the Salem Lutheran Church,
Ephrata. Members were
reminded of the Spring Rally
for May 8 to be held at
Memorial Hall, York Fair
Grounds.
Next meeting will be held
April 6,1:30 p.m. at the home
of Mrs. Henry E. Martin, Jr.,
154 Owl Hill Road, Lititz.

Farm Women Society 25
met Saturday, Mar. 9 at the
home of Mrs. Wade Groff.
Mrs. Sterling Elmer led the
devotions.
Twenty members an
swered roll call by naming
their favorite color scheme.
The gift of the month was
won by Mrs. Clayton
Haverstick. Plans were
made by the Ways and
Means Committee to hold a
food sale sometime in June
at the Southern Market.
The Society voted to
support the J.C. summer
camp as the county project.
The donation of $22.00 last
month was used to purchase
food, which was given to the
Welch Mt. Clinic to be used
for a Food Bank. This month,
each member brought
canned food or money to also
be given to the Clinic. This
project will be continued
during the year.
The program for the af
ternoon was a talk, “Be
Your Own Decorator”,
given by Mrs. Doris Thomas.
The next meeting will be
held at the Farm and Home
Center on Aoril 13,
